I have been enjoying drawing since early childhood and still actively pursue it as a hobby. Though my work is shaped by the world I live in, it captures the world of my imagination, with a recurring empha- sis on the emotional. I draw what I care about and I care about what I draw.

I use a wide variety of media in my art - I mainly focus on traditional techniques starting from simple pencil sketches and spanning color pencils, COPIC markers, ink and watercolors. I love to combine and experiment and do not shy away from digital coloring too, using a tablet and Photoshop.

Below is a small selection of works created between 2010 and 2012. Feel free to look at my DeviantArt gallery for more!

The first picture, a portrait of the geneticist Barbara McClintock, was awarded 1st place in an online contest “Celebrating the Heroes of Science”.

There have been two exhibitions showcasing my work:

“jazzy: character design”
at the ČAJKA teahouse
Bratislava SK (2009)

“brmlab:~$ cat chido”
at the Brmlab hackerspace
Prague, CR (2011)

I have also held courses on drawing, mainly the “Mangaka no gakkou” at the Comics Salon festival in Bratislava, Slovakia in 2005 and 2006 and an invited lecture at the “Aki no tamashii” in Am- stelveen, Netherlands in 2010.

My webcomics about the game of Go, The Empty Triangle has reached a wide audience since I began publishing it in 2006. In con- nection with the comics I was invited as a guest artist to several major tournaments in Sweden, Netherlands, Finland, Germany and Czech Republic.

I have done work on commission several times.
